Greetings From The President of the St Albans Rotary Club

I'm delighted to have been chosen the 2012-2013 President of the Rotary Club of St. Albans, West Virginia. I look forward to working with you and this community in promoting our club and the endless realm of possibilities during our year of “Service Above Self”.

The 2012-2013 Rotary International President, Sakuji Tanaka, in his address announcing our theme, Peace Through Service, said, “However we define peace, whatever peace means to us, we can bring it closer through service. Service Above Self reminds us that none of us can live for ourselves alone. A life lived in isolation is empty and without joy. But when we live for others-when we focus on our role within our family, our community, and all humanity-then we begin to realize our own place in the world.”

St Albans Rotary does many great things in our community. This wouldn’t be true without all of us. The key to achieving so much is membership. New members and membership retention are critical to our Rotary's future. The membership of a healthy Rotary club is made up of men and women of different ages, vocations, professions, skills, and talents.

My years in Rotary have enriched my life. Continue with me and see how we can enrich our community.
